Colorado Springs Animal Hospital
Providing Compassionate Pet Care for Over 30 Years

At Yorkshire Veterinary Hospital, a Colorado Springs animal hospital, we have provided area pet owners with compassionate pet care for over thirty years. The dedication of Drs. Scott and Corinna Hamann to veterinary excellence shines through in each exam and procedure. We are also a proud member of the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA), an organization that provides accreditation to only 15% of veterinary facilities in the United States.

Yorkshire veterinary clinic provides extensive care and servicesOur animal hospital offers a comprehensive range of preventative, diagnostic and urgent care for area pets. We offer treatment for all breeds of dogs and cats as well as exotic pets, birds, reptiles, fish, and pocket pets. Our veterinarians regularly perform routine pet wellness exams, vaccinations, spay or neuter procedures, complete dental care and surgery treatments. We also have a veterinarian on-site to handle urgent care cases that come in during normal clinic business hours.

In May 2011, we relocated to our new facility at the southeast corner of Dublin and Academy in Colorado Springs. This new location provides the space needed for our state-of-the art technology, including an in-house laboratory, laser surgery facilities, digital radiography, ultrasound and more. We are incredibly excited and proud of the many possibilities our new building proposes. Expanding to a new facility has allowed us to help even more animals live long, healthy lives.

Vet Hospital with a Lengthy History in the Colorado Springs Area

Colorado Springs vet provides care and servicesYorkshire Veterinary Hospital originally started in 1979. Our goal then was simple: providing area pets and their owners with compassionate, quality veterinary care. Since that time, our practice has grown into the large animal hospital it is today while keeping the same basic principle. In 2005, following the retirement of the previous owners, the hospital changed into the capable hands of Drs. Scott and Corinna Hamann. As distinguished former staff members, the Hamanns brought an easy transition ushering the practice into a new era.

Throughout our rich history we have proudly supported several local and national animal charities, including: the Colorado Greyhound Association, Harley's Hope, Golden Retriever Freedom Rescue, Four Paws, Feline Friends, All Breed Rescue and the Humane Society. Supporting local animal organizations gives us the opportunity to share our skills and knowledge with pets in need.

As Yorkshire Veterinary Hospital continues to grow, we look forward to helping pet owners enrich the lives of their companions and save animal lives.

Colorado Springs Vet Dedicated to Exceptional Care

Colorado Springs exotrics vet caters to all types of petsAs one of the oldest Colorado Springs vet hospitals, Yorkshire Veterinary Hospital has seen its share of changes over the last thirty years. Originally started as a small family in 1979, the animal hospital has grown to meet the unique needs and provide personalized care for local owners and their pets.

Upon the retirement of the previous owners and veterinarians in 2005, Drs. Scott and Corrina Hamann purchased the practice. With the added benefit of the Hamann's leadership, our practice grew even more, which required moving into a larger building.

Present and Future of Our Veterinary Hospital

In May 2011, Yorkshire Veterinary Hospital was able to move into our new, state-of-the-art facility. Located at the southeast corner of Dublin and Academy in Colorado Springs, our new veterinary center is just one block north of our former location. We are extremely excited by the new possibilities and types of treatment this allows us to offer our patients. This new location also boasts an in-house laboratory for testing, advanced laser surgery equipment and other technology to help save and enhance the lives of pets.

Yorkshire Veterinary Hospital offers a full range of veterinary services, including preventative care, pet wellness, pet dental, vaccinations, spay/neuter and other surgical procedures.  Our team routinely coaches pet owners on pediatric through geriatric nutrition and wellness programs designed to enhance the life of their animal. We also treat all types of exotic pets, reptiles, fish, birds and pocket pets.

We look forward to maintaining our AAHA, American Animal Hospital Association, accreditation for excellence. This designation is only awarded to 15% of all vet hospitals in the country, allowing us to proudly say we have met many of the highest standards in veterinary medicine. AAHA regularly sends out auditors to check every aspect of our practice - from paperwork to treatment standards.

We remain committed to providing the very best in veterinary care to the pets of Colorado, both our patients and through the charitable organizations we are proud to support. Yorkshire Veterinary Hospital proudly supports the following local animal organizations: Colorado Greyhound Association, Harley's Hope, Golden Retriever Freedom Rescue, Four Paws, Feline Friends, All Breed Rescue and the Humane Society.
