Located in the North Branch section of Branchburg, near Raritan Valley Community College. Dr. Derfuss opened Branchburg Animal Hospital in the spring of 1996.  We strive to excel in offering top notch veterinary care for your dogs and cats as well as provide a friendly, informative and supportive environment for their families.  The Veterinarians, Technicians, Assistants and Client Care Coordinators are committed to providing all pets the very best of care. 

Branchburg Animal Hospital is a full service hospital offering traditional as well as integrative veterinary care.  Our hospital provides medical, surgical and dental services, as well as acupuncture, Chinese herbal therapies and rehabilitation therapy. It is our doctors' goal to provide you and your pets with professional, compassionate care.

Appointments

Our appointment book is computerized which allows us to efficiently make appointments for you and your pet. Our Client Care Coordinators and team will attempt to accommodate all requests to the best of our ability. We are open for scheduled appointments from:

• Monday, Wednesday: 8am - 6pm
• Tuesday, Thursday 8 am - 8pm 
• Friday: 8am - 5pm
• Saturday: 8am - 1pm 

Emergencies are accepted anytime our clinic is open. If you feel you have an emergency with your pet, please call us or come to the hospital immediately. If possible it is best to call before coming in so that a staff member can advise you on your particular emergency.

Emergency & Urgent Care

You never know when you will have an emergency with your pet.  We always do our very best to accommodate emergencies at our practice.  Our staff is trained to triage and treat emergency situations during regular office hours.  We have a doctor on call after hours for our clients to call and assess their situation.  After hours emergencies are handled on a case by case situation. Depending on the nature of the call and after hours staffing we may refer to an outside emergency facility such as Animerge (908-707-9077), Garden State Veterinary Specialists (732-922-0011) or NorthStarVets (609-223-1520).

Payments

Branchburg Animal Hospital accepts payment via cash, check, MasterCard, Visa & American Express. So that we can continue to provide you high quality service utilizing the best medical technologies, we request that payment be made at the time services are rendered.

We provide estimates for all surgeries and hospitalizations. If you have not received an estimate, you are welcome to request one at any time for your expected charges.

Discounts

Branchburg Animal Hospital offers discounted services to senior citizens (age 65 and older) with cash or check payment.
